Color Washed Walls

April 30th, 2017

Lately I’ve been toying with the idea of painting my apartment walls and I’ve been really taken with the color washing technique. When I first moved into my apartment, I remember clearly being excited about the snow white walls and thinking I could add pops of color to it with art pieces and hangings. But now I’m thinking of shaking things up a little bit and adding not just color but some texture to these walls of mine, the deciding factor I guess is whether or not I want to paint them white again when I leave (rental woes).  Color washed walls kind of remind me the kind of outdoor walls you’d find in places like Old Havana or Italy, they have this tattered feel to them that I really love. To paint or not to paint, what do ya think?
